Brandy Carwile
Yoga Instructor
Originally from Denver and raised in Atlanta, Brandy’s journey into yoga began as a natural extension of her lifelong relationship with dance. What started as a complementary practice to support her ballet training soon became something much more meaningful—a pathway to deeper self-awareness, connection, healing, and personal growth.
With 30 years of experience as a dance instructor and a 25-year career as a professional ballet and commercial dancer, Brandy brings a wealth of movement knowledge and a deep understanding of the body to her yoga practice. Her years as a dancer have given her an appreciation for alignment, strength, mobility, balance, and mindful movement, while also teaching her the importance of listening to and honoring the body.
After relocating back to Denver in 2021, Brandy continued to expand her movement education and recently completed her RYT 200 teacher training at the Yoga Center of Denver. Today, she beautifully blends her backgrounds in dance and yoga, creating a unique approach that encourages students to explore movement with intention, curiosity, and compassion.
Alongside teaching yoga, Brandy continues to work as a dance educator and occasional performer, allowing her to remain connected to the art and movement practices that have shaped so much of her life. Her classes draw from this diverse experience, offering students an opportunity to develop greater body awareness while building strength, balance, flexibility, and confidence.
At the heart of Brandy’s teaching is a deep belief in the power of connection and healing—both within ourselves and in the relationships we create with others. Yoga has been an important tool throughout her own life, helping her navigate transitions, emotional challenges, and physical changes. Through her practice, she has discovered the value of patience, empathy, self-acceptance, and cultivating a healthy, respectful relationship with the body.
Outside the studio, Brandy finds joy in spending time in nature and giving back to her community. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families navigating difficult circumstances, including addiction and domestic violence, and contributes through animal fostering and community involvement.
Brandy hopes to create a space where students feel safe to slow down, reconnect, and meet themselves exactly where they are. Through yoga, she invites her students to honor their bodies, listen to their needs, find strength through mindful movement, and create space for healing from within.
Her intention is for every student to leave her class feeling a little more connected, grounded, and empowered—not only in their practice, but in their everyday lives.
